The Ponneri Node is envisioned as an ‘Engineering Hub’ under the Chennai Bengaluru Industrial Corridor (CBIC). The site comprising of land parcels with a total area of 3,375.38 acres, is co-located in two districts –Tiruvallur and Chennai. The node is situated adjacent to Chennai port, Kattupalli port and Ennore port. Proximity to Chennai aids to the national and international connectivity through all modes of transportation and Tiruvallur along with the adjoining districts of Kanchipuram and Chennai are industrial hubs for the state. The existing urban setting and availability of highly skilled manpower offers and excellent transport linkages offer a mature industrial environment.
Consultant has been appointed for the preparation of a detailed master plan and preliminary engineering for the project.
