The Government of India has approved inclusion of Hyderabad Nagpur Industrial Corridor (HNIC) between Hyderabad and Nagpur, covering an overall length of about 475km in the national network of Industrial corridors for implementation. Hyderabad Nagpur Industrial Corridor (HNIC) extends along the NH 44 between Hyderabad, the capital of Telangana, and Nagpur, the winter capital and the third largest city of Maharashtra. Of this, the stretch within Telangana is 290 km long and runs between Hyderabad and the northern boundary of Telangana in Adilabad district.

HNIC proposed to address the infrastructure bottlenecks through a holistic approach while benefiting from the inherent strengths and competitiveness of each of the HNIC states. Accordingly, high impact/ market driven nodes (21 Nos.) are proposed to be developed at strategic locations within the corridor stretch in Telangana to provide transparent and investment friendly regimes. These nodes are proposed to be self-sustained nodes with world-class infrastructure, road and rail connectivity for freight movement to and from ports and logistics hubs, served by reliable power, quality social infrastructure, and provide a globally competitive environment conducive for setting up businesses.

HNIC includes Zaheerabad NIMZ as a priority node which is a “Project of National Significance” and approved National Investment & Manufacturing Zone (NIMZ) by Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, Government of India. Zaheerabad NIMZ (ZNIMZ) is proposed to be developed as a smart integrated industrial township in 12,635 acres, located at a distance of about 80 km north west of Hyderabad City. Currently,the area of Phase-1 activation area of the Zaheerabad node will be developed admeasuring 4008.40 acres.
