127 GW RE projects under construction, 89.69 GW under tender
A total of 127 GW of renewable energy (RE) projects are currently under construction and 89.69 GW are in the tender stage, the minister said in response to another question raised in the Lower House of Parliament. Non-conventional energy sources, including solar, wind, bio, waste-to-energy and small hydropower, constitute 156,247 GW of India’s total installed capacity of 454,452 GW. In percentage terms, non-conventional or renewable energy sources constitute 34.38 per cent of India’s total power generation capacity, the Lok Sabha was told.
