HAL signs Rs 13,500 million deal with Ministry of Defense for 12 Su-30MKI aircraft

“In a major boost to the government’s ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ initiative, a contract for the purchase of 12 Su-30MKI aircraft along with associated equipment was signed between the Ministry of Defense and Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd today,” the Ministry of Defence. .

The cost of the contract will be approximately 13,500 rupees, inclusive of taxes and duties.

“The aircraft would have an indigenous content of 62.6 per cent, enhanced through the cognitivisation of many components to be manufactured by the Indian defense industry,” he said.
