With this exciting development, BMRCL is now expected to commence pre-construction and other tendering activities to appoint Detailed Design Consultants (DDCs) and contractors for shifting and demolition services post land acquisition.

The DPR will now be sent to the Union government for approval of its various departments and cabinet. Tendering for civil construction may begin before approval from the Union government, but contracts will be awarded only after approval, as per phase 2A and 2B. At this time I expect construction work to begin no earlier than 2027.
