Logistics Hub & Industrial Areas
MMLH & MMTH Along the proposed Corridors
The Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) company of Integrated Industrial Township (IITGNL)– Greater Noida will be the implementation agency for the Multi Modal Logistics Hub (MMLH) and Multi Modal Transport Hub (MMTH). The Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited (DFCCIL) has given ‘in principle’ approval for providing connectivity to the project site. The required 84% of the land is in possession of the State Government and the remaining land parcels are being acquired expeditiously for the proposed development. Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been executed with the Ministry of Railways for Multi Modal Transport Hub (MMTH) project.
Expressways & DFC
New Access Controlled Expressways and Dedicated Freight Corridors
Government of India is developing various industrial corridor projects along with dedicated freight corridors as part of the National Industrial Corridor Programme which is aimed at development of futuristic industrial cities in India which can compete with the existing & best manufacturing and investment destinations in the world. This will create employment opportunities and economic growth potential leading to overall socio-economic development of the regions.
Port, Airport & Other Facilities
Dighi Port Industrial Area, Dholera SIR & other similar Projects
While developing the Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) project, Western Dedicated Freight Corridor has been considered as the transportation backbone while Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor has been considered as the backbone for Amritsar Kolkata Industrial Corridor (AKIC) project. For other industrial corridor projects like Chennai Bengaluru Industrial Corridor (CBIC) and Bengaluru Mumbai Industrial Corridor (BMIC), NH-4 has been considered as the backbone. For East Coast Economic Corridor (ECEC), NH-5 which is part of the Golden Quadrilateral Programme, the Kolkata–Chennai rail route has been considered as the transport backbone. The proposed North-South East-West and East Coast Dedicated Freight Corridors will further supplement all the existing transportation backbones for the corresponding industrial corridors.
